Breaking down the basic elements of Vinyasa yoga

This 4 week fundamentals course is aimed toward those who have been attending Vinyasa classes but still find themselves a little lost at times. Perhaps the style is too fast or the classes too full to get a clear idea of what is going on in each pose or in the flowing sequences.

We will break down individual poses, looking at correct alignment and also where the body should be working and also where it should be releasing. We will look at how far and how hard we should be working and how to avoid overworking.
The perfect point in each pose may not be the same for you as for the person beside you. With this in mind, we will focus on body awareness and finding our natural rate of work. Learning to work with ease while also developing strength and flexibility and most importantly, the sense of calm and clarity within.
We will also look at the transitions from pose to pose. Learning how to move efficiently while keeping the awareness in each pose as well the space between the poses.

There will be plenty of hands on adjustments as well as some time for Questions & Answers here and there.
