Great raffle prizes from local business such as Mulligans Grocers, Lilliputs and chartered medical. The opportunity to win 1 on 1 lessons from our finest teachers and appointments with some of Dublin’s best therapists. The elbowroom will also be raffling unlimited passes, vouchers and other great prizes. Tickets are 5 euro a strip and are available at The elbowroom reception. All funds raised will be donated to Damian.
Damian was diagnosed with bladder cancer in October 2016. He underwent an 11 week period in the hospital where he had a kidney, his bladder and prostate removed. After this surgery, another tumour was discovered in his bowel. He is currently at home and under the care of the community care team in Blackrock hospice. Damian is now taking part in an immunotherapy clinical trial due to start in early May.
Damian is a personal trainer, and self-employed, so during his illness, he has been unable to work and is not entitled to any benefits from the State. This has taken an enormous toll on his young family (wife Ailish and two-year-old son Cian) and their ability to pay for essentials such as rent, child care and transport.
This special day is to raise funds to support the family during this difficult time.
