Am I too old or out of shape to do yoga?

Anyone can do yoga.  No matter how young or old you are, whether you’re a couch potato or a fitness guru.

Good news, flexibility doesn’t matter because you can stretch every yoga pose to suit your ability. The more you do the stretchier you get. The concept of yoga is to explore your limits, not strive for some thing beyond perfection. In a gentle nurturing environment we can help you create a toned, flexible, and strong body. Your respiration, energy, and vitality will improve.

Yoga promotes cardio and circulatory health and improves your athletic performance. Just as importantly it will help you to relax and handle stressful situations easier. We teach you how to quiet the mind so you can focus your energy where you want it to go. We encourage positive thoughts and self-acceptance.

Yoga is one of the original concepts which today would be labelled as holistic. That means that the body is related to the breath; both are related to the brain; in turn this links with the mind, which is a part of consciousness.

Hatha is the physical aspect of the practice of yoga. The pyoga adviceostures range from the basic to the complex, from the easily accomplished to the very challenging. While the movements tend to be slow and controlled, they provide an invigorating workout for body and mind.

For those completely new to yoga or if you haven’t been in a while and would like a refresh of the basics join our beginners course starting this Wednesday.  We’ll teach you the basic postures and breath work to give you the best yoga foundation.

We have a great schedule of classes to choose from and you should also consider our one day workshops the perfect time-out to experience different style. Why not try a Love Yourself Mindful Yoga and Meditation Workshop on Sunday 14th February  – the perfect workshop to slowly cultivate your practice.
