Geraldine O’Neill
Geraldine O’Neill started her yoga journey almost 20 years ago with Tony Purcell, one of Ireland’s original Ashtanga yoga teachers. Initially she took up yoga to complement other sports and fitness programmes she participated in and improve her flexibility. Through time, she witnessed many other benefits, not just physical. In 2007, Geraldine trained as a Vinyasa Flow Teacher with Dave Curtis and is a certified 200 Yoga Alliance teacher. She began teaching immediately after, working in various studios in Dublin city. A firm believer that we never stop learning, Geraldine has continued to evolve her own practice, participating in teacher training programmes both here and internationally. Her inspiration is drawn from internationally acclaimed teachers – Shiva Rea, James Higgins, Jean Hall and Liz Larke.
Geraldine O’Neill teaches a fluid vinyasa flow class with sometimes challenging sequences but always interspersed with quite meditative moments to focus on breath and integration.
She qualified as a gym instructor in 1997, under the NCEF programme. Geraldine has worked in the corporate world for 20 years and therefore, understands the stresses and strains of today’s working environment. She seeks to combine breath and movement to help uplift the body and soul.
